About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Cath Lab at Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, as part of Ascension Premier Staffing. Local and national travel options are available based on need. The schedule offers multiple shifts and includes 40 hours per week plus call. The advertised gross rate is up to $2,471 per week.

The nurse assesses, prepares, and positions patients for procedures; performs conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary; and prepares, implements, and documents plans of care. The nurse communicates patients’ conditions to physicians before, during, and after procedures; performs and/or facilitates diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures; and sets up and provides equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensure obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of the hire date or job transfer date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• RN with 1–3+ years of Cath Lab experience.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures.
