About The Position
PsyPhyCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide on-site medical and wellness services within a federally supported residential youth program. This role involves direct clinical services to young adults (ages 16-24) and collaboration with residential and program staff in a structured, community-based environment. The Registered Nurse will support the Health & Wellness program through direct patient care, prevention initiatives, health education, and coordination with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary staff.
Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey.
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a clinical, school-based, residential, or community health setting required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with adolescents or young adults preferred.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site nursing services within the scope of practice under the applicable state nurse practice act and Job Corps Wellness Guidelines.
- Triaging urgent and emergent medical situations
- Providing first aid, clinical assessments, and basic treatment
- Monitoring students with chronic health conditions
- Administering medications and assisting with examinations
- Coordinating referrals and follow-up care with healthcare providers
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation and records
- Tracking laboratory results, immunizations, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Delivering individual and group health education sessions
- Maintaining medical and prescription supply inventories
- Providing staff training on health and wellness topics
- Collaborating with community healthcare partners and program leadership
- Supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment
- Mentoring students through professional role modeling and participation in program initiatives as assigned
