About The Position

The Registered Nurse at the Suites of Someren Glen leads resident care from planning through evaluation, providing individualized care that supports residents’ overall well-being. The RN works closely with physicians, pharmacists, families, and other care partners, and mentors colleagues on the Nursing Team. The role plans, organizes, directs, carries out, and evaluates resident care while following applicable state and federal regulations and community policies.

Requirements

Colorado Registered Nursing License in good standing.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Advanced training in geriatrics.
One year of experience in a long-term care facility.
One year of experience in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

Keep nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, and families informed about each resident’s status.
Listen to concerns from residents, families, and physicians, then take corrective action or escalate as needed.
Participate in Resident Care conferences and keep Resident Care Plans accurate and up to date.
Prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders; manage medication ordering, including replacing expired medications.
Document resident care issues and report them to the appropriate personnel.
Recognize signs and symptoms and use sound clinical judgment to select appropriate treatments and procedures.
Supervise and direct CNAs and other support staff, taking corrective action when needed.
Support the team with other duties as needed.
Plan, organize, direct, carry out, and evaluate all aspects of resident care while meeting residents’ total needs and following regulations and community policies.
