Registered Nurse (RN) - Custody Unit
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Custody Unit delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care in the Custody Unit. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care provided to assigned patients. The RN communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Paradise Valley Hospital is a 291-bed acute care hospital in National City and a member of Prime Healthcare. The hospital offers acute rehabilitation, cardiac catheterization, inpatient and outpatient surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, and behavioral health programs.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain it current.
- NHISS (Stroke Scale) certification within 60 days of hire and maintain it current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
