About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Team at Baptist Nassau in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This is a night-shift opportunity. The nurse provides care to patients receiving treatment for medical, surgical, and other conditions, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses. The role includes educating patients and families about disease processes and plans of care, collaborating with physicians and hospital departments, advocating for patients, and participating in staff meetings and other unit activities. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Associate of Science in Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses.
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes and plans of care.
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
- Serve as a patient advocate.
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.
