About The Position
Baptist Nassau is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy Team. The RN provides and coordinates patient care related to gastroenterology and conscious sedation, including pre- and post-procedure assessments. The role also includes educating patients, significant others, and families about disease processes and plans of care.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of surgical services nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Associate of Science in Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; supervise care provided by supportive personnel; and coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
- Educate patients, significant others, and families about disease processes and plans of care.
- Maintain knowledge of care related to gastroenterology and conscious sedation.
- Perform pre- and post-procedure patient assessments.
