About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Team at Baptist Nassau in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This is a part-time night-shift opportunity, working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The role provides care to patients with medical, surgical, and other conditions, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses. The nurse educates patients and families about disease processes and plans of care, interacts with physicians and other hospital departments, advocates for patients, and participates in staff meetings and unit activities. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. Baptist Health is a locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving Northeast Florida through more than 200 locations and six hospitals. Requirements
- One year of clinical nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Associate of Science in Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses.
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes and plans of care.
- Interact with physicians and other hospital departments.
- Serve as a patient advocate.
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.
