About The Position

Baptist Downtown is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Endoscopy Team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN position. The nurse provides patient care using the nursing process and supports safe, effective outcomes through assessment, care coordination, monitoring, education, and advocacy. Baptist Health is a locally governed, faith-based, not-for-profit health system serving Northeast Florida through more than 200 locations and six hospitals.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing.
• Licensed Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Endoscopy or procedural nursing experience.
• Experience caring for higher-acuity or critical care patients.
• Hospital or acute care nursing experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide care and monitoring for critical patients who require a higher acuity of care.
• Coordinate and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
• Coordinate care with ancillary services to support safe and effective patient outcomes.
• Include patients and significant others or families in developing individualized plans of care.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, procedures, treatments, and plans of care.
• Serve as a patient advocate and promote patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction.
