About The Position
This full-time Registered Nurse position is for the Atrium Health Call Center, working night shifts. The role involves performing telephone triage for a diverse patient population, assessing needed care, and collaborating with patients to provide clinical solutions. The nurse will conduct comprehensive nursing assessments in an untraditional environment, participate in team conferences, assess patient education needs, and communicate patient encounters to practices and managed care clients. The position also requires notifying designated leadership of operational concerns.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of applicable state required.
- Must apply for and maintain a South Carolina Registered Nurse license and any other Registered Nurse licenses from states that new clients may reside in.
- BLS required per policy guidelines.
- Must live within 50 miles of Mint Hill.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Experience in telephone triage, pediatrics and ED triage is desired.
Responsibilities
- Performs telephone triage with diverse patient population.
- Assesses needed care and collaborates with patients, and others, to provide clinical solutions.
- Provides comprehensive nursing assessment in an untraditional nursing environment.
- Actively participates in team conferences and helps assess patient education needs.
- Notifies each practice, physician, and/or managed care client of all encounters with patients, parents or managed care clients regardless of follow-up needs before office opening.
- Notifies designated leadership of operational concerns.
