About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients across all age groups at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) Rehab in Roanoke, Virginia. The role supports patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and collaborates with the healthcare team to promote safe, effective, high-quality outcomes. The position is full time and works Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The role includes providing individualized care, coordinating care delivery, completing age-specific assessments, developing and adjusting care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, administering and documenting treatments and medications, identifying education needs, advocating for patients, and applying growth-and-development knowledge to provide age-appropriate care. The RN also contributes to quality improvement, helps improve outcomes and resource utilization, serves as a role model, supports peer development and new-employee orientation, manages resources and priorities, addresses care and operational challenges, participates in shared decision-making, supports department education, and maintains confidentiality and compliance with applicable standards. The position offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs and a $15,000 sign-on bonus for new graduate RNs. Compensation is listed as $33.52–$50.28; pay depends on qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience, and the range excludes benefits and pension.

Requirements

Graduate of a State Board of Nursing-approved program.
Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
AHA BLS-HCP certification.
Keyboarding skills and computer literacy, including use of electronic medical records.
For Behavioral Health roles, ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Nice To Haves

Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required depending on the assigned work area.
