About The Position

Parker Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time night shift position. This role is crucial in providing daily care, addressing health needs, ensuring the safety, and promoting the comfort of residents. The RN will conduct professional assessments, document resident health, assist in managing nursing units and staff, and participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Possess a valid RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana.
  • Basic Computer knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide for the daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort of the resident.
  • Provide professional assessments and documentation of the resident’s health.
  • Assist with the management of assigned nursing units and staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date nursing care plans, documenting progress and making recommendations for revisions to care plans (MDS) according to facility policy and procedure.
  • Make daily and periodic resident visits for monitoring and observing the residents’ physical/mental condition.
  • Perform routine nursing procedures.
  • Work closely with physicians and families to maintain the health/mental state of the resident.
  • Provide emotional support to the resident and their families.
  • Handle resident and/or visitor complaints, allegations, accidents, or incidents that may occur.
  • Provide medical record documentation, completing 24-hour reports, end-of-shift reports, shift narcotic counts, and documenting the destruction of outdated/discontinued medications.
  • Maintain up-to-date resident medical records.
