About The Position

Millwood Hospital, a UHS Facility, is a 134-bed mental health facility providing inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. Since 1971, Millwood has offered care to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Located in Arlington, TX, the hospital is Joint Commission accredited and part of Universal Health Services, Inc. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is responsible for prescribing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, adhering to the nursing process and standards of care. New hires must attend full hospital and departmental orientations during the first two weeks, with specific schedules for Week 1 (Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM) and Week 2 (Monday-Wednesday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM).

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
• Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification.
• Training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint before working with patients.
• Successful completion of CPI training and Service Excellence Training before working with patients.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• A minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
