About The Position

Millwood Hospital, a UHS Facility, is a 134-bed mental health facility providing inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults since 1971. Located in Arlington, TX, Millwood Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited facility and part of Universal Health Services, Inc. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is responsible for prescribing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, adhering to the nursing process and standards of care. New hires must attend full hospital and departmental orientations. The role requires availability for rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.
Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint before working with patients.
Successful completion of CPI training and Service Excellence Training before working with patients.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree preferred.
A minimum of three (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
