About The Position

Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their long-term care facility. This position involves providing direct nursing care to residents, collaborating with the nursing and medical team, and communicating with residents and families. The RN will manage care responsibilities within their work period, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for health promotion and continuity of care, and ensure cost-efficient practices.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure as an RN, in the state of Wisconsin.
• CPR certified.
• Meets health requirements.
• Ability to work in a long-term care environment with appropriate technological support.
• Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a calm manner.
• Requires decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Recognizes legal responsibilities and functions as specified by Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to individual residents and significant others, when appropriate, as directed by the nursing and medical plan of care utilizing the nursing process.
• Communicates with the resident, family, and multi-disciplinary team members to provide up-to-date information (teaching), promote effective coping behaviors, and evaluate the resident’s response to implemented care.
• Organizes, within the work period, the aspects of care in which he/she is accountable.
• Coordinates resident care with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate health promotion and continuity of care in a cost-efficient manner.
