About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN)— Emergency Dept (ED) Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. This is a Full Time Mid-shift position (11A-11 P) for 36 hrs./ week. Every other weekend and 2 major, 2 minor holiday’s a year are required. The Emergency Department at Texas Health Plano has 52 beds and sees more than 41,000 patient-visits a year. It offers self-scheduling, opportunities for educational and career growth, is a Level II Trauma center, and has a Comprehensive Stroke program. The unit also boasts a Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and an engaged leadership team. Texas Health Plano's 30-Minute Promise aims to alleviate patient worry from long waits in the emergency department.

Requirements

Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required
One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
BCLS -Basic Cardiac Life Support -Prior to providing independent patient care & maintained quarterly—required
ACLS-Advance Cardiac Life Support- within 90 days required
PALS-Pediatric Advance Life Support- within in 90 days required
TNCC-Trauma Nursing Core Course –within 12 months required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days Required

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency Required
One year of Emergency experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred
