About The Position

Texas Health Alliance is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to treat patients with critical injuries or illnesses in one of their 40 Emergency Rooms. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge medical technology and equipment in a Level III trauma center. Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
RN - Current Registered Nurse required Upon Hire
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
ENPC – Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire required
TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire required
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
2-3 years ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
