About The Position

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team in a Level III trauma center with 40 emergency rooms, utilizing cutting-edge medical technology. The unit offers self-scheduling to promote work/life balance and opportunities for professional growth and education. The hospital itself is a 151-bed, full-service facility serving communities in North Fort Worth and surrounding areas, offering a wide range of services including emergency medicine, surgery, women and infant's care, radiology, and cardiac rehabilitation. Texas Health Alliance is recognized for its high level of electronic medical record adoption.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
  • RN - Current Registered Nurse required Upon Hire
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
  • ENPC – Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire required
  • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire required
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • 1-year of Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • 2-3 years ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
