About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Trauma Med Surg uses critical thinking and the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to coordinate and provide safe, quality patient care. The nurse also assists in organizing patient care activities as assigned. This is a full-time day-shift position. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available to qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification within 90 days.
• NIH certification within 60 days.
• EKG certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical condition, skin, pain, fall risk, medications, and discharge needs, and provide appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement a plan of care on admission using assessment data.
• Provide education to patients and families.
• Evaluate patients’ responses to interventions.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Assist in organizing patient care activities.
