About The Position

Harborview Medical Center is seeking a Psychiatry Registered Nurse to join its inpatient psychiatry team on unit 5WB. The unit cares for adults ages 18–99 with a variety of mental health diagnoses, co-occurring chemical dependency disorders, and medical needs. Nurses address chronic and sub-acute medical conditions that may require additional treatment and education, build patients’ DBT skills, and provide CBT skills group therapy. This is a regular, permanent evening-shift position at 90% FTE.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Have or obtain a Washington State nursing license to practice.
• Have two or more years of experience in psychiatric nursing or an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients with a variety of mental health diagnoses, co-occurring chemical dependency disorders, and medical needs.
• Address chronic and sub-acute medical conditions that may require additional treatment and education.
• Provide DBT skill building.
• Provide CBT skills group therapy to patients.

Benefits

• BSN or higher premium of $1.00 per hour.
• Certification premium of $1.25 per hour.
• Evening shift differential of $5.00 per hour.
• Weekend shift differential of $4.00 per hour.
