Registered Nurse - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT
About The Position
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance. The position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Requirements
- A minimum of two consecutive years of current Registered Nurse employment in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT unit.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Active American Heart Association CPR certification.
- Active American Heart Association PALS certification.
- APHON certification within six months of the program start date.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
