Registered Nurse / RN Post Partum Labor & Delivery
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and coordinates safe patient care for specified and diverse patient populations. The RN assesses patient and family needs, develops and prioritizes goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revises the plan of care to address biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs. The RN delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes and adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. This is a full-time, day-shift Post Partum/Labor and Delivery RN position in Topeka, Kansas, with The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Current Kansas RN licensure.
- Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
- Complete all required certifications within the first year of employment.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of recent experience in a similar healthcare setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
