Registered Nurse (Night Shift) - Garden Pavilion
About The Position
Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, nursing supervisor, and/or charge nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care according to hospital and department policies and procedures. The position emphasizes quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, positive public and customer relations, and broad nursing knowledge. The nurse assists with orientation of new staff, provides clinical guidance and support for students, and assumes relief charge nurse duties when oriented and assigned. The position is based in the Garden Pavilion and has a variable-schedule NOC shift. The pay range is $72.83 to $97.40, based on years of applicable experience. Shift differentials are paid according to hours worked: $5.50 per hour for evening shifts and $8.00 per hour for night shifts.
Requirements
- Current State of California Registered Nurse license.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
- Pass orientation and initial competency assessment before independent assignment of patients requiring the applicable skill.
- Complete and pass all annual competencies.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as a registered nurse working with adult psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Board Certification.
