Requirements

Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania; employees with an active temporary practice permit must obtain Registered Nurse licensure within the one-year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
At appointment, provide proof of a current, valid Pennsylvania temporary practice permit or Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
Ability to perform the essential job functions.
Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Applicants within 60 days of graduating from a State Board of Nursing-approved school of nursing are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

Check vital signs, administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with examinations.
Evaluate patient needs, provide education, and support daily living and hygiene activities.
Respond to emergencies by performing assessments and providing first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), or automated external defibrillator (AED) care, and refer patients for further care.
Document care, maintain medical records, prepare reports, and track controlled substances.
Sterilize equipment, monitor inventory, and maintain adequate treatment supplies.
Participate in training programs and stay informed about policy and procedure updates.
