About The Position
TK Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care to patients in a secure correctional setting at Pitkin County Jail in Aspen, Colorado. The role pays $50.00 per hour and includes full-time benefits. Nurses work with a diverse patient population and an interdisciplinary healthcare team, using a broad range of clinical skills to support patient care. Correctional healthcare experience is not required; nurses from other care settings may transition successfully into this environment.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to practice in Colorado.
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain it as required.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients and respond to their healthcare needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Perform nursing assessments and document patient care.
- Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and promote continuity of care.
- Manage chronic and acute medical conditions within the scope of nursing practice.
- Coordinate care with providers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Follow established clinical, safety, and security procedures.
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
