About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Gastroenterology Infusion department at the Strictly Pediatrics Medical Office Building in Austin, Texas. The position is part-time, with shifts on Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day. The nurse will deliver personalized direct care, develop and manage comprehensive care plans, serve as a primary care coordinator, execute physician and nursing orders, and lead proactive discharge planning.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.
Pediatric Vascular Access: Skilled in pediatric IV starts and cannulation with one year of dedicated intravenous nursing experience.
Specialized Care: In-depth clinical knowledge of pediatric gastroenterology IV medications and administration protocols.

Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, maintaining clear, accurate, and prompt communication regarding patient status and changes.
Lead proactive discharge planning in partnership with the broader care team to empower patients and families for a smooth, safe transition home or to next-level care.
