EOI: Registered Nurse Outpatients Department Fixed Term Contract
About The Position
Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced SA Health employees for a temporary Registered Nurse/Midwife Level 1 position in the Outpatients Department at Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service. The role is temporary part-time at 0.6 FTE, from 31 October 2026 to 26 February 2027, with a salary of RN/M1 $79,381–$108,311 per annum, pro rata. The successful candidate will contribute to safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support positive outcomes for patients and their families.
Requirements
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Nurse and/or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated competence in nursing and/or midwifery practice.
- Effective communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
- Must be an SA Health employee.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care by assessing patient needs and planning, implementing and evaluating appropriate care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
- Recognise changes in patient conditions and escalate clinical concerns in accordance with established procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, patient education and professional development to support safe and effective clinical practice.
