About The Position

Proximie is hiring Clinical Monitoring Specialists to support deployments of its Intelligence Suite at new sites across the United States. The role contributes to the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the product by monitoring live surgical events in real time to validate model accuracy and event recognition, and by performing retrospective annotation of previously recorded surgical data to support the training and improvement of computer vision models. The work forms a feedback loop intended to improve product performance and clinical reliability. This is a six-month fixed-term contract with the company’s full benefits package. The contract will be reviewed as it approaches its end date, with the potential for extension. Hiring is currently available in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington, D.C.; other locations may be considered case by case. The role involves remote access to live surgical footage and sensitive patient and clinical information, so the specialist must work from a safe, secure, private environment that meets appropriate confidentiality standards.

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with surgical workflows, including familiarity with operating room procedures, equipment, and standard operating practices.
  • Proficient computer skills and confidence using multiple software applications simultaneously.
  • Ability to work from a safe, secure, and private environment free from distractions, meeting appropriate confidentiality standards for sensitive patient and clinical information.
  • Availability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in alignment with surgical scheduling demands.
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured, process-driven approach to quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a remote, internationally distributed team.
  • Comfort working independently while following established processes and protocols.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) data, including its structure, terminology, and conventions; preferred but not required.

  • Respond appropriately during live sessions, in accordance with company protocols, based on observed events or model behavior.
  • Accurately identify, timestamp, and label clinically relevant events.
  • Meet daily annotation targets while maintaining required quality thresholds, and flag in advance if meeting volume targets would compromise accuracy.
  • Identify and escalate anomalies, inaccuracies, unexpected model behaviors, or issues affecting or potentially affecting customer experience or data accuracy through established communication channels, demonstrating urgency and critical thinking.
  • Adapt to updated project guidelines and incorporate changes into daily workflow.
  • Document escalations with a case ID, timestamp, and short description to facilitate consistent guideline updates.
