About The Position

The Registered Nurse promotes and provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The nurse demonstrates professional leadership and supports the healthcare team while providing patient-centered nursing care. Responsibilities include communicating with physicians and other nursing staff about patient needs, administering IVs and medications, and using medical equipment to monitor patient vital signs.

This is a seasonal opportunity on Manatee Memorial Hospital’s Med Surg Tele Unit (2RS), listed as full time and days in the title but described in the posting as a nights position. The role is a six-month contract. The seasonal rate is $70 per hour, plus night-shift differential.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Florida RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• At least 2 years of acute care experience.
