About The Position

As a Seasonal RN, you align with the nursing model and manage patient care by evaluating and recognizing patient needs, creating and implementing care plans, and monitoring patient progress. You use your expertise to help patients navigate the healthcare system safely and reduce complications, while understanding patient needs and the healthcare environment. This is a seasonal 13-week contract at Baylor Scott & White - Centennial in Frisco, Texas. The schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week.

Requirements

A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience.
At least one year of experience in nursing.
A valid Registered Nurse license.
Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and patient-care standards and procedures.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diverse groups.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to provide quality patient care.
Flexibility and the ability to promptly and efficiently communicate changes in patient health conditions.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments using sound judgment and clinical reasoning, following practice standards.
Identify patient and family needs and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans, making adjustments as needed.
Create safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
Manage emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
Monitor patient progress and help patients navigate the healthcare system safely to reduce complications.
