Registered Nurse (PICU)
About The Position
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse for its Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Cottage Children's Medical Center is a regional referral center serving the medical needs of infants, toddlers, and children throughout the tri-county area. The 8-bed PICU provides care for pediatric patients from 28 days to 18 years old who have life-threatening illnesses or injuries. The position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with at least one year of recent PICU experience. Pay for non-physician positions is based on related years of experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may also receive additional compensation such as shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonus opportunities, where applicable.
Requirements
- California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- At least 1 year of PICU experience, or 2 years of experience as a pediatric nurse.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
