About The Position

Pathway Family Services is seeking a Full-Time Lead Nurse to join their team. This role involves leading a team of healthcare professionals to provide oversight and treatment planning for the physical well-being of children and adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs. The Lead Nurse will provide nursing care, ensure assessments are completed, medication management orders are fulfilled, and educate children and families about their care. The role also includes coordinating health appointments and in-house medication provider appointments, and ensuring all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements. The position is in-office and requires a trauma-informed approach when collaborating with clients, families, and team members. The average hourly rate is $39.24 per hour.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas.
  • Must be 21 years of age and 3 years older than the oldest resident.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet agency underwriting standards while driving an agency or personal vehicle to transport clients.
  • Must have valid driver’s insurance.
  • Must be eligible for credentialing with Kansas Medicaid for billing needs.
  • Completion of a Predictive Index assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals providing oversight and treatment planning for the physical well-being of children/adolescents receiving residential treatment for behavioral health needs.
  • Provide nursing care for children working to overcome trauma.
  • Ensure all assessments are completed.
  • Ensure medication management orders are fulfilled.
  • Educate children and families about the care they are receiving.
  • Coordinate and complete health appointments.
  • Coordinate and complete appointments with in-house medication providers.
  • Ensure all documentation meets federal, state, and program requirements.
