About The Position

Care Initiatives is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment. The role supports daily unit clinical operations, quality care, and resident safety, while working with an interdisciplinary team across the organization’s skilled nursing communities in Iowa. The position is full-time, with a 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule and competitive hourly compensation plus shift differential.

Requirements

• Hold a valid RN license in good standing; the license must be valid in Iowa or be capable of activation in Iowa.
• Hold current, valid CPR certification.
• Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Demonstrate commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit and promote quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately according to clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
