About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Under the supervision of Charge Nurse(s), the RN provides patient education and activities in accordance with their competencies and education. The role requires strong communication and critical-thinking skills to support optimal patient outcomes. This position is with a mission-driven organization providing care to underserved, vulnerable, and often overlooked patients. The organization offers ongoing training and development for licensed and unlicensed healthcare team members, as well as clinical resources for training, education, and point-of-care support. Applicants must reside in the United States.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Reside in the United States.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in assessing and planning individual treatment programs in consultation with Charge Nurse(s) and other staff as needed.
Implement medical plans by administering medications, obtaining diagnostic tests, and assisting with medical or minor surgical procedures as needed.
Count controlled substances and carry out clinical and technical aspects of care according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting as required by policy.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training.
Communicate relevant information to nursing staff, physicians, health care unit supervisory personnel, and other staff as necessary.
