About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate, excellent treatment to patients throughout their recovery. The role is for a new graduate, with day and night schedules available, and includes an extensive orientation program to support the transition into the hospital setting. Requirements

Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Document information accurately and promptly using appropriate systems.
Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
Ensure medical orders are accurately transcribed and processed.
Demonstrate competence during Rapid Response and code events.
Instruct and counsel patients and families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
