About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital-Fairhill is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate care and help implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, preceptors, and the interdisciplinary team.

New graduate nurses participate in a structured 10–13-week orientation program with a dedicated preceptor. Applicants may apply before obtaining a nursing license, but must hold a valid license by their start date. The position is full-time, with 12-hour shifts, and pays $48 per hour.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Valid state RN license required by the start date; applicants may apply before being licensed.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Flexibility of scheduling to complete the requirements of the program.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the physician and preceptor, ensure implementation of the assessment plan and evaluation and follow-up of the patient’s plan of care.
• Initiate ongoing systematic assessments of patients’ and families’ physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs.
• Interpret assessment data to develop nursing care plans, including problem identification, nursing diagnoses and orders, approaches, interventions, short- and long-term goals, and discharge planning.
• Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation goals.
• Ensure medical-record documentation is complete, factual, accurate, and timely.
