Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) - Monroeville Area
About The Position
UPMC Home Health is hiring full-time Registered Nurses to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in patients’ homes across the Monroeville and surrounding communities. Assignments are based on patient needs and proximity to the nurse’s home. The role offers autonomy with support from an interdisciplinary team, opportunities to build relationships with patients and families, and flexible scheduling with 8- or 10-hour shifts. A dedicated weekend program is also available with premium pay and benefits. Nurses develop and manage plans of care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary partners, educate patients and families, and complete required documentation electronically using a provided laptop. Final title and compensation are based on experience, education, and career ladder placement.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure through a compact state.
- CPR certification meeting AHA standards, including didactic and skills demonstration components, within 30 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and required clearances.
- Graduate nurses must complete the licensure examination within six months of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes throughout assigned Pittsburgh-area communities.
- Develop and manage plans of care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary partners.
- Provide patient and family education that promotes independence and recovery.
- Complete required documentation, including OASIS, visit notes, and orders, electronically using a provided laptop.
- Contribute to high-quality, patient-centered outcomes while maintaining regulatory standards.
