About The Position

The Registered Nurse practices under the supervision of the Director of Acute & Emergency Services. The role assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care according to Syracuse Area Health policies and procedures. The nurse supports and upholds the Patient Bill of Rights and provides, prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care with other health care providers to meet patients’ holistic needs.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Nebraska.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, or obtain them within six months of employment.
• Trauma Nurse Core Class (TNCC) certification within one year of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• If offered a position, provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or proof of eligibility for an accommodation or exception under applicable law to comply with CMS guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• One year of experience in an acute and/or emergency room setting preferred.
• Experience providing care to a general population preferred.
