About The Position
United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated and empathetic 24/7 Registered Nurses to provide in-home health care. The role is offered as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, with flexible, independent work and schedules coordinated directly with patients according to their plans of care, approved hours, and preferences. Nurses provide holistic, personalized care and build supportive relationships with patients and their families in their homes.
Requirements
- Valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
- Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- Malpractice insurance.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Warm, empathetic approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
- Coordinate schedules directly with patients in alignment with their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
- Monitor and promptly report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
- Communicate and coordinate with Case Managers, collaborating physicians, and specialists.
- Maintain accurate patient logs and documentation in the EMR system.
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and family members.
- Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
