About The Position

Provides direct patient care in the Oncology Infusion Center. Monitors patients during treatments and infusions. Provides patient education on disease entities, chemotherapy and management of chemo related side effects. Communicates with the Oncology Infusion Center Coordinator, Medical Oncologist and the patient’s physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including laboratory tests and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient’s condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement and quality initiatives.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current unrestricted Minnesota Registered Nurse license.
Current ACLS, ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider or Oncology Nurse Certification.
Strong problem-solving, organizational and good communication skills.
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
Basic computer knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Previous Oncology experience preferred, including administrating chemotherapy and care coordination of the Oncology patient.
