About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology Infusion to join our healthcare team in Bingham Farms, United States. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care by administering infusion therapies and chemotherapy treatments while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety. You will work collaboratively with oncologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Requirements

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Demonstrated expertise in IV therapy and infusion administration
  • Knowledge of chemotherapy medications, protocols, and safe handling procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation software
  • Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact compassionately with patients and families
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and safety compliance requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in oncology or infusion therapy settings
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (ONC) or Chemotherapy certification
  • Experience providing patient education and health promotion

Responsibilities

  • Administer chemotherapy and other infusion medications according to established protocols and physician orders, ensuring accurate dosing and proper administration techniques
  • Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after infusion therapy, documenting vital signs, patient responses, and any adverse reactions
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, potential side effects, self-care measures, and available support resources
  • Prepare infusion equipment, medications, and treatment areas according to infection control and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with the oncology care team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Respond promptly to patient concerns and questions, providing emotional support and compassionate care throughout the treatment process
  • Monitor and manage patient comfort, including pain management and symptom relief strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, infection control procedures, and organizational policies
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing best practices
