About The Position
Ohana Pacific Health is seeking passionate Registered Nurses to provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse administers medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, takes and transcribes telephone orders, maintains medication and medical-supply inventories, assesses residents and implements appropriate interventions, and performs assessments during admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Hawaii.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in geriatrics and familiarity with current nursing standards of practice.
- First Aid and CPR; these can be completed in-house.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and according to policy and procedures.
- Take telephone orders from physicians and transcribe orders to the medication administration record, physician order sheet, resident chart, and treatment or care plans as appropriate.
- Maintain and order appropriate inventory of resident medications and medical stock supplies.
- Conduct accurate physical assessments of residents, determine their needs, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Perform assessments on admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
