Registered Nurse
About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse for its outpatient dialysis team, working in Pella, Newton, and Ottumwa, Iowa. The nurse will provide care to patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney conditions. Dialysis experience is not required; paid training is provided. Mileage and drive time are paid from the home clinic. Training may take place at a clinic other than the home location. The role involves a fast-paced, hands-on environment, long-term patient relationships, and broad application of nursing skills with medically complex patients. No Sundays or nights.
Requirements
- RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Reliable transportation for potential floating.
- Flexible schedule required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg.
- CNN/CDN certification.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in an outpatient dialysis setting.
- Monitor patients, manage treatment plans, and respond to changes in their health.
- Collaborate with the clinical team, including Patient Care Technicians.
- Educate patients and families about kidney health and treatment options.
- Float to nearby clinics as needed.
