About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit. The unit cares for patients with cardiology, surgical oncology, urology, and complex general medical-surgical diagnoses. Patient ratios are 1:5–6, and the nurse-aid ratio is 1:10–14.

This role involves 12-hour night shifts, with self-scheduling options. Nurses are required to work every other weekend and holiday; there is no call or standby requirement. Unit-specific orientation lasts 1–2 days. The required scrub color is navy blue. Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible, and artificial nails are prohibited under the unit’s fingernail policy.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to care for a diverse range of patients.
• Willingness to teach and mentor fellow staff.
• Must be located outside a 50-mile radius for eligibility.
• Must comply with fingernail policies; artificial nails are prohibited.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential nursing care and support to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and manage basic telemetry readings and interpret cardiac strips.
• Administer intravenous fluids as appropriate.
• Teach and mentor fellow staff.
