About The Position

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Mom/Baby Department. The RN assesses patients, plans and provides care, intervenes as appropriate, and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions. The nurse incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures, responds to patients’ and significant others’ information needs, and maintains continuity of care across shifts and hospitals, including during transfers out of the hospital. The RN practices within the Texas Nurse Practice Act and serves as a role model, interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator of quality patient care. The position is based at Texas Health Dallas in Dallas, Texas, and is full time for 36 hours per week on a 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. schedule. The department has been recently renovated, holds a Level IV Maternal designation, is a Texas Ten Step member, and offers a supportive, inclusive environment.

Requirements

Diploma in Nursing or an associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
One year of experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
