About The Position

The Richmond VA Medical Center is hiring five Inpatient Staff Registered Nurses for the Telemetry Unit within the Acute Care service. The selected nurse is accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care and coordinates care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. The role includes providing evidence-based care to assigned patients and, as appropriate, oversight of licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants. The position is day shift, with schedules listed as 0730–2000 or 0730–1600. Compressed tour options are either two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts, or six 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift. Relocation and recruitment incentives and permanent change of station are not authorized.
