About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Acute Telemetry department at Resurrection Medical Center. This role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct care within the scope of practice. The nurse guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients, communicates clinical changes and diagnostic results to physicians, responds promptly and accurately to changes in a patient’s condition or response to treatment, and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

The position is full-time on the day shift, scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in 12-hour shifts. A sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Current and valid State RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU.
• Remain directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results, and symptoms.
• Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
