About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Neurosciences department at Dell Children's - Specialty Pavilion in Austin, TX. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with travel required. The role involves leading the delivery of compassionate, high-quality nursing care, creating and monitoring comprehensive care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and managing discharge planning to ensure a seamless and holistic patient treatment experience.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years of Nursing experience
Neuro and pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of compassionate, high-quality nursing care by following evidence-based protocols that prioritize patient safety and clinical excellence.
Create and monitor comprehensive care plans, adjusting interventions in real-time to drive positive patient outcomes and recovery.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams as the primary point of contact to ensure the patient receives a seamless, holistic treatment experience.
Support the patient’s journey home by managing discharge planning early, ensuring a safe and confident transition from our care.
