About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in CDH Neuro Intermediate (3B), a 24-bed neuroscience unit providing medical and surgical care for patients with acute neurological and spine disorders. Conditions cared for include acute and stable traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizures, and acute inflammation or infections of the central nervous system. Neurosurgical care includes aneurysm repair, cerebrospinal fluid leaks and lumbar drains, and postoperative neurosurgical and spinal care. The unit is in the country's top decile for patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with others.
- Strong analytic abilities.
