About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in CDH Neuro Intermediate (3B), a 24-bed neuroscience unit providing care to patients who require medical and surgical treatment for acute neurological and spine disorders. Conditions treated include acute and stable traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizure, and acute inflammation or infections of the central nervous system. Neurosurgical care includes aneurysm repair, CSF leaks and lumbar drains, and postoperative neurosurgical and spinal care. The unit is in the country’s top decile for patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Medical/Surgical or Neuro.
