About The Position

Comfort Home Care is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse to provide psychiatric and home health care to patients in the New Bedford/Fall River area. The role works a morning weekday shift and offers a competitive base salary with an uncapped incentive plan. Nurses manage their schedules, build long-term relationships with patients, and make clinical decisions that help patients remain independent, avoid unnecessary hospitalizations, and receive compassionate care at home.

The nurse evaluates patients’ conditions, medical needs, and well-being; develops and adjusts care plans as conditions change; educates and supports patients, including with medication guidance and wound care; coordinates with providers, families, and care teams; and completes visit documentation from home. The position calls for clinical skill, independence, and adaptability.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
• One year of nursing experience.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Reliable transportation for patient visits.

Nice To Haves

• Home health or psychiatric nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ current conditions, medical needs, and overall well-being during visits.
• Create and modify treatment and care plans based on patients’ needs and changes in their conditions.
• Teach and support patients, including providing medication guidance and wound-care education.
• Communicate and coordinate with providers, families, and care teams when patient circumstances change.
• Submit accurate notes documenting each visit from home.
